Kazart productions wishes to open it’s doors to enable artists to give free reign to their audiovisual creativity, free from the restrictions of daily life and classical production methods.

The residence is open to any person, author, director, editor, there is no limit in age or geographical area. The knowledge of French and/or English is appreciated.

The resedent agrees to make of his work a creation co-producted with Kazart Productions. He/She agrees also to give some of his time to take part in pedagogical actions which will be defined with the association.

You’ll need a vehicle as Mondon is a small village, without underground…without shops…without advertising…The use of a bicycle (we can lend yoou one) is strongly advised and the immediate environment allows you to circulate between the villages using only the paths which go through fields and woods.

Kazart Productions is located in a family house. Certain areas like the kitchen, the bathroom and the WC are collective and normally resrved to members of the household. For obvious reasons, they are also available to residents. However, your total autonomy concerning cooking, purchase of food, washing up, cleaning and laundry is imperative.

The project is autofinanced (which means without public subventions so without residence grants). Therefor, a 50 € weekly participation is requested for various residence costs.
The conditions are restricted : they require personal investment, hard work and total adhesion to the project on the redident’s behalf.

Several areas are available to the residents.

• 1 bedroom (internet connection in the room)
• 1 production studi (several Apple computers)
• 1 winter garden – meeting or reading room
• communal kitchen, laundry room, WC and showers
• 1 garden of 3000m²

Admission conditions :

• residents must be members of the Kazart Productions association and be up to date on their yearly fee which among other things enables us to insure you.
• undestanding and accepting the present chart and signed the convention which leads from it
  The residents agree to optimise their presence at the residence
• The knowledge of the elementary rules of livving in a community (an experience in housesharing, in residence or a squat would be welcome)
• Relative autonomy in work, the search for means of production in so far as Kazart Productions is there to help out the resident whenever asked.

Jury

The choice of the residents will be made as a group by the members of the Kazart Productions bureau.
The selection criterias are motivation, quality of the previous experiences and creations and the capacity to work and live in a group. After a selection seeion, the candidates accepted will be informed by mail and/or telephone.
